Chris Wessman
Raised in Mississippi, as a kid Chris found pleasure in catching turtles in the creek by his neighborhood. In the mid-eighties his hairstyle changed to that of which was seen in the skateboard magazines.  This resulted in being outcasted by most social circles of the time.  Musical instruments, skateboards, pens and paintbrushed then consumed his free time.  In the early nineties he embarked on a nomadic journey around the states that resulted in his settling down in Los Angeles in 1999 to work in the movie making industry.  Still playing on skateboards and spending his time with musical instruments, Chris's paintings have been finding themselves on walls of galleries around Los Angeles and New York.

AND...

CHRIS WESSMAN IS SOMEONE WHO DOES, NOT SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T.  Whether it's skate-boarding, assisting the Cohen brothers on their newest feature film, dating a famous rock star's daughter, getting asked to play cello on a Jane's Addiction tribute record, or creating beautiful artwork, Chris is definitetly not someone who is sitting around waiting for something to happen.  The first impression  had of Chris was "oh great, another nerdy, glass-wearing, Silverlake fag."  But after getting to know him I realized he's the real deal that all of those thrift-store-cool junkies are trying to bite.
